Two of my hobbies include music and computers:
  • Computers
  • Music

  • I have been interested in computers for most of my life. My first computer was a Commodore 64. I use to enjoy playing a particular game, "Below the Root" until I discovered that I could actually program it myself. I learned BASIC 2.0 and began my programming career. Since then I've learned QBasic 2.0/4.5/7.0, JavaScript, Visual Basic 6.0, Pascal, Visual C++ 6.0 and PERL. I have also studied the DirectX and OpenAL SDK's.

In the future I hope to get a job in the computer field, possibly doing Computer Science.

If anyone cares, I was able to program a computer before I was ten. This is about the only interesting thing that most other people do not do.

I have always had a keen interest in music. In grade two I began to take piano. I am still taking piano now! I can play at approximately a grade 9 level, although I have not taken an exam yet. I am currently working on the Pathétique by Beethoven.

In school I play French Horn. I have also learned how to play trumpet. In grade eight I won the Vocal Music award, however I no longer sing in school. Besides regular school bands, I have taken part in the Choral Music Experience, All-City Orchestra (which lead me to play in Roy Thompson Hall!) and Jazz Choir (leading me to a tour of Chicago).

When I am not playing music, I enjoy listening to music. I enjoy listening to concert band music, especially sound tracks and soft rock.
